Pro Humanitate supports Special Olympics in the area of training
Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports movement for people with cognitive impairments and is represented by over 3.6 million athletes in 193 countries. In Switzerland, Special Olympics is a local foundation and offers exercise, games and sport for children, young people and adults with cognitive impairments. In addition to a variety of exercise and sports activities, the further training of coaches, volunteers and accompanying persons is also a central concern of the foundation.
In this area, Pro Humanitate primarily supports the digitalization process of various training modules. The digital offerings make participation in training courses more flexible and less accessible – regardless of time and place. This means that more people can be optimally prepared for training sessions with people with cognitive impairments.
