Stiftung Pro Humanitate supports the Liechtenstein Foodhouse – the Princely Mountain Snuggery project.
In August 2023, the „World Scout Jamboree“ will take place in South Korea. The jamboree is a large-scale scout camp where up to 50,000 participants from all over the world come together. The aim of the jamboree is to teach the 14 to 17-year-old participants scouting values, show them other cultures and ways of life and allow them to take on responsibility.
In recent years, so-called foodhouses (restaurants and cafés) have been established. These foodhouses represent the country from which they are run and offer traditional dishes. The aim is to create an intercultural exchange in this way. This is a good opportunity for participants, leaders and staff to get to know other cultures.
The „Scout Foodhouse Liechtenstein“ association held its first foodhouse at the 2011 Jamboree in Sweden with great success. The preparatory and follow-up work carried out, the experience gained and the knowledge acquired provide the Foodhouse 2023 project with the necessary foundation to tackle the implementation of another Liechtenstein foodhouse.
