Zurich Zoo: New Worlds

In 2025, Zurich Zoo opened its new enclosure – Panthera. Here, the three big cat species Amur tiger, Asiatic lion and snow leopard, as well as the red panda, live in a modern and species-appropriate habitat. At the same time, a new area was developed for the smallest creatures – the insect forest. It is home to exotic invertebrates such as the sapphire rose beetle.

Both the insect forest and the big cat enclosure are home to creatures whose existence in the wild is threatened. Zurich Zoo is thus once again offering young and old alike the opportunity to learn about animals and nature. The Pro Humanitate Foundation supported the new attractions with a donation.
